The start of 2018 has been a busy one for Luxe Cottage. We have gone into the New Year head on with a courageous and gutsy attitude.
Well I have in any case, Mr Luxe I can’t speak for and as my projects generally involve him having to do a fair bit of grafting he tends to just get sucked along for the ride…
2018 will see Luxe in the Cottage launching a new home accessories website.
To say I am excited by this is a massive understatement. Instagram has been a real turning point for me in 2017 and has given me the drive and determination to realise a dream I have had for so many years. The support and encouragement from this community has literally astounded me, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Anyways, slushy stuff over with…let’s get on to the sexy bits.
The images I share on Instagram of my home generally feature a lot of home interior accessories that I have up-cycled myself. I’ve received many lovely kind messages with questions of where I purchased some of these items which led me on to thinking that there may be a gap in the market for quirky, vintage inspired home accessories with a luxe edge. My shop will feature a Luxe Vintage section with one off pieces specially commissioned by myself.
I will also be selling a range of carefully curated home accessories including wall art and soft furnishings.
I am hoping to sell these at reasonable, affordable prices because as you all know I am the Queen of Thrift and I love a good bargain the same as the next person. We’re planning to go live on the 1 March 2018 with a small selection of products that we aspire to develop and expand over time.
In the next blog post I will be looking at my latest favourite colour scheme….
The lushest blush pink combined with deep, dark forest green. My dining room is currently being made over in these shades so take a look for some inspiration of what I’m sure will be a hot trend for 2018.
Thanks for reading, any comments or suggestions are always very welcome.
Happy New Year and here’s to a bloody gorgeous 2018!!
